What yearly report, the only one I ever received was the year I turned 65.

SS issues an annual earnings report. It shows total earnings for all previous years. It also shows estimated SS monthly amount if you retired that year, and it shows estimated SS monthly amount if you are on SS disability.

If you have no earnings, you probably do not get that report. SS started automatically issuing them about 10 years ago -- if you have earnings for the year.
