Our government, and the President in particular, have made the decision not to participate in the battle of ideas. Our governing class knows little or nothing about islam, nor do they care to learn, as long as they have their fat lives to lead.
But just because our political class is brain dead, except to the calculations which make them more comfortable or more powerful, does not mean that Americans cannot conduct their own war of ideas.
Somewhere out there are thousands of clever, creative Americans, who can conduct this war with their wits and their courage. Not many of us have the means or the talent to do it on a mass scale, but many do.
My hope is that those with the means and talent to wage the battle on a mass scale, do so.

You have some rather pithy points about Islam, however none of them will actually win the battle with Islam, except for portions of #10. But telling them how rotten they are and that they will burn in hell, albeit true, just is not a way to persuade people. And moslems are indeed people, made in the image of God.
The first step in fighting Islam is done on our knees. Make no doubt this is a spiritual battle against powers, against principalities, against the spiritual forces in the dark places. Quite frankly, most Christians neglect this aspect and then wonder why we're not effective. To neglect prayer is analogous to going into battle without bullets and then wondering why the enemy isn't wounded. Duh!
Second, get training! Learn how to evangelize. Learn how to present the Gospel. Learn what a person has to do to be saved. Many Christians cannot give a concise conherent presentation of how to become a Christian. Most of us were taught how to introduce one person to another. Again, learn how to introduce someone to Jesus.
Third, actually evangelize. We have moslems in the US living and working. They're in our neighborhoods. Have you gone to visit them? Have you established a relationship with them? Are you seeking to convert your unsaved neighbor? My guess is no. I really think God has brought them to the US so we will evangelize them. We do a poor job of sending evangelists to them so God brings them to us. He actually loves those heathen! Can you believe it? Perhaps God doesn't know they lop off the heads of the good guys and don't deserve to go to heaven. He wants them to hear about Jesus. We should obey.
I'm trying not to be critical, but Islam is a works based religion. Muslims believing that the Koran is the literal spoken word of Allah is not one of the pillars of their faith. There five pillars of the faith are all works based, thus their faith becomes very legalistic when applied in it's primitive form

True, Muslims don't worship Muhammed, and that needs to be altered. But they do consider him to be the greatest and last of the prophets, the chosen one of Allah, the perfect man, the highest model for imitation.

After all, if you look at the actual life of Muhammed, that supposed greatest of profits and best of men, it is nothing short of disgusting. Only a cowardly bully would admire it. Muhammed was a liar, a thief, a murderer, a coward, a bully, a slave taker, an abuser of women, and a nutcase.
I would agree. It's time to stop pretending that Islam is an admirable religion, one of the great theistic religions, on a par with Judaism and Christianity. It's hard to get around the conclusion that Muhammed was an instrument of the devil, which was the general opinion of intelligent Christians in the middle ages who had to constantly fight off Muslim attacks, raids, slaving expeditions, and the like.
It's important to emphasize that most Muslims are simply deluded, not consciously evil. But if you give credit to an evil religion, then it is bound to have an evil effect on you.
I think these unpleasant facts need to be confronted, not swept under the rub and ignored. The only way to deal with the problem of Islam, which is a serious threat to the survival of civilization, is to tell the truth about it.
Conversion of Muslims isn't easy, because their family and friends will kill anyone who conversts. But I believe it can be done, and must be done. The only alternatives are surrender or bloodshed on an unprecedented scale. That's what will happen if we don't wake up and confront the facts in front of us.

Shame on any Christian who would consider any Muslim less than human, as this quote does. Muslims are children of God. God loves them and sent Jesus to die for them as well as us. Would any of the ten points listed here be effective in softening their hearts and preparing them to accept the testimony of Christ? If not, you need to try something more effective.
This question goes right to the heart of what really works to save souls. What did Jesus do to save people? He taught them truth in the spirit of kindness and then he submitted himself to die to prove his point. He was willing to go to his death to prove that love overcomes all things.
If Christians want to save Muslims, there will be more Christian martyrs, but that is what will reach them. Bombing them, arguing with them, bashing them with condemning Bible verses, and calling them inhuman will not achieve what God desires. If the war on terror is to be stopped, it will take this same kind of love Christ showed us all.
This is a war of survival. That is the only idea everyone should focus on. Either non-Muslims survive, or Islam survives. The history of Islam shows these to be the only choices.
We have to learn quickly as non-Muslims that not everyone wants to just get along with others. That is our biggest challenge. We are weak because we convince ourselves everyone would prefer to be like us and live in harmony if given the opportunity. What we want and what Islam wants are at complete opposites, and only one will survive.
