Russia called the EU's bluff, and the EU is caught with their pants down. Glaring example of the difference between fare and free trade, and the exception to the "McDonald's rule" as well if you subscribe to Sun Tzu's philosophy "(trade) politics is war in another form."

Why does Russia need to import meat at all? They have millions of acres of land suitable for raising cattle.
