it is almost scary--the reality of fatherhood in America.

A sperm donor does not automatically become a father. One {or more} instance of sexual gratification that produces a human being does not allow entry into fatherhood. Being a father requires effort and sacrifice, something these bozos are not prepared to do. Many animals perform the same ritual, mate, produce offspring and leave the young with the mother {and in this case, have the taxpayers support them}.

They have no morality.

Zyhir, now FDA approved without a prescription to bring long-lasting relief to even your worst symptoms. Consult your doctor and use only as directed.

Thank you ... though I only wish folks would see how Jesse and Al and the entire DNC are perpetuating this diabolical institutionalization of slavery (to the welfare state rather than a plantation master).

It is sad, very sad, I hope Zeyhir can grow up and somehow escape from that cycle and as another Freeper posted maybe even become another "Condolezza Rice" (Well, a male version)

Are you dreaming.....Condolezza Rice's parents were both college educated and living as man and wife and she was brought up in a loving home....the only thing she has in common with this child is a unique name......

The "Great Society" didn't turn out so great after all.
Unfortunately none of the people who started and continued it will admit what went wrong.

We now have 2 generations of black Americans who have been indoctrinated with this culture. .0001% of them are making big bucks in hip hop music or athletics. And sadly the rest are in trouble.

Blacks are not victims but willing participants in this scheme concocted up by leftest white liberals. The white liberals have pushed the idea of black pride (i.e. racism) while indoctrinating blacks that they cant make it because whitey is racist.

Only in America can the most powerful and rich entertainers be black but according to the leftest media white America is racist. Blacks continue to vote for leftests (antifamily, anti-schoochoice, proabortion, anti-christian) eventhough we are told that they have strong family values - the 'fruit' of ones so called values is evident in their behavior - Statistics dont lie.

I don't know, it's a complicated subject. I prefer to put all the blame on the white liberals. If I'm wrong, and I end up somehow aiding and abetting the end of liberalism in America, and yet problems still remain in the Black culture, then, hey, at least we won't have any more liberalism in America!

Let's not go overboard here, folks. There's a strong and growing Black middle class full of lawyers, doctors, and corporate employees at all levels.

I agree
poor phrasing on my part
I really meant we have 2 generations of a large black subculture that has been indoctrinated

Marriage would not solve the problem. They would just end up fussing and fighting about everything under the sun and the poor kid would be traumatized.
Today's young black men and women don't have the slightest clue about building successful relationships and many white kids aren't a whole lot better,if you ask me.For the males, its about who shakes that laffy taffy the best on the dance floor and the girls are all looking at how much"grip"the boys are making, legal or otherwise.

Valuing excellence is not a hallmark of socialism ... the 'great society' didn't have snowball's chance of raising black people to excellence, but then it wasn't designed for that goal, as proved by Johnson's comment when the legislation passed ... something about voting for democrats for the next fifty years.

People forget that ML King never asked for the government to give black people a subsistence 'wage', that his goals were all designed to create a more level playing field in education, etc., where blacks could compete for excellence because he knew some would win and others would strive and in the striving win as men and women not he's and she's. Whatever one thinks of King's morality, his goal was to have America live up to her stated ideas, a noble quest by any measure.

If you're talking about the subculture of course you're right. The subculture sucks. It produces only hoodlums (99.999%) and sports and music stars (.001%).

That's right. What's valued is group rights and the collective and, of course, The Almighty God: Diversity!

Other minorities, from Vietnamese in 1980's, Indians in 1990's and recent Hispanic immigrants, all came with almost nothing, yet they are able to build themselves up. I don't know what's the secret.

It's called delayed gratification. If you tough it out today in anticipation of a better deal tomorrow, you will progress. Incidentally, there is an astoundingly high correlation between kids who will not grab a piece of candy when told they will get two pieces later, and success in adult life. Those who grab the one piece have MUCH lower expectations of later success. Now what was the question?

I'm not responsible for bringing his Wagoner's kid into the world and I should not have to pay for it.

Amen Brother! This crap from Hillary about 'It's for the children' is one of Socialism's big lies. It's about bad choices without consequences and wealth redistribution.

It is indeed a unique name but it was not invented out of thin air. It's a variation in spelling of an Italian music term which means to "play softly."

As the old saying goes, "two wrongs don't make a right." Nobody is advocating the point of view that the single welfare mother is the ideal parent. However, accelerating our society's demise by throwing gays into the mix is precisely the wrong treatment to achieve a cure.

Interesting point with "delayed gratification". Should try the "candy test" on my kid and see whether he will choose one now or two candies later. I guess the answer to success is to earn it the old-fashioned way, to earn it.
