The principle is all wrong here. Why should the government be allowed to take someones home for private development? I can much better understand if it were necessary for a public works project, but never for private development. Where would it end?

Screw them!

Besides, 442,000 is not outrageous for the location.

It doesn't matter what amount of money she got! If it aint for sale, it aint for sale. The money doesn't mean anything.

This is one of the foundation blocks of our constitutional rights.

The owners should at least get not only the full value of their property, but an equal amount stock in the stealing corporation.
