In Philip Wylie's book A GENERATION OF VIPERS, he states that the reason Jew's are so hated is because there is a book in which the Jews are claimed to have been designated as the "chosen people" on earth by God. Wylie said that he thinks that if they had a choice now, they might have preferred not to have been chosen.

In my opinion, some people, such as Muslims, have the mistaken belief that if they just kill all the Jews, then God will make them the new "chosen ones." I guess they think that being "chosen" will be a blessing. Who knows.

I read that book many years ago. All I remember of it is that Wylie hated Jews, but he hated Christians even more.
