A lot don`t, or didn`t.. Just by chance last week I was reading about the hanging of the Lincoln conspirators in 1865. One eyewitness said when they fell a few were wiggling around for a while, which means they were choking to death. The woman they hanged, her noose wasn`t even made right because they guy who made them thought they would never go through with hanging her. WRONG! Muh wah ha ha ha ha ha!
