They're prayin' alright...for success at killing.
"When you enter the plane:
"Oh God, open all doors for me. Oh God who answers prayers and answers those who ask you, I am asking you for your help. I am asking you for forgiveness. I am asking you to lighten my way. I am asking you to lift the burden I feel."
(Excerpts from a five-page handwritten document that the FBI found in Mohamed Atta's luggage. Translated from Arabic)

"Oh God, open all doors for me. Oh God who answers prayers and answers those who ask you, I am asking you for your help. I am asking you for forgiveness. I am asking you to lighten my way. I am asking you to lift the burden I feel." This prayer does not sound much different from some supposedly Christian prayers, except it's all about he person praying. "I . . . I . . . I . . . ." The Psalms also use the first person singular, but Christians attribute any and all righteousness not to themselves but to Christ Jesus who is God incarnate acting on their behalf. FWIW.
