You've never heard of "the troubles" in Northern Ireland, I take it.
The IRA were quite accomplished at blowing up British soldiers and various Protestant symbols and people. They'd even blow up fellow Catholics if they were co-operating too much with the Brits or Proddies.
I am well familiar with the situation in Northern Ireland and with the violence that was perpetrated by both the Catholic and Protestant sides to that conflict. You single out the Catholic side and appear, IMO, to give the opposition a free pass.
