This is insane--and will be thrown out in any decent Federal Court as a First Amendment violation.

"This is insane--and will be thrown out in any decent Federal Court as a First Amendment violation." I assumed the same thing when "campaign finance reform" was going through congress. I guess the president assumed as I did because he signed the dammed thing, much to my dismay. I sailed through the judicial process and was upheld by the SCOTUS.
I wonder if Bush will sign this one.

This is insane--and will be thrown out in any decent Federal Court as a First Amendment violation. You are sadly mistaken. Perhaps you have forgotten what the Supreme Court had to say about McCain-Feingold. The Constitution no longer protects political speech, only speech intended to overthrow our form of government.

"This is insane--and will be thrown out in any decent Federal Court as a First Amendment violation. That's what they said about McPain/Finkgold. Bush signed it into tyrannical law and the Supremes rubber stamped it.

The SCUS didn't throw out McCain-Feingold. What makes you think they'd throw this out?

You're right this should be thrown out by any decent Federal Court. But I thought McCain-Feingold would be thrown out by the Courts.

Not if it's the ninth circuit...hell, not even if it's the Supreme Court. :(
