I voted for Ford in '76 as well, but at this point in my life I believe all things happen for a reason and maybe we wouldn't have had the great admiration for Reagan if we had not the experience of a failed President like Carter before him.

I have not watched that channel for a long time and I am not about to start.
ABC was also the only local, non-cable channel here in the Greater DC area to cover the execution of Saddam "live" last night.
I've gotta admit..I was surprised and impressed.
I wasn't old enough to vote for him (16), but he was responsible for my life-long obsession with politics. The night he was nominated seemed to go on forever and I was fascinated with how the nominating process and election were conducted.

pinz....I remember when I graduated from high school...during the early 70's....my father mentioned that he worried about my generation...
He said that after the idiocy at the end of Vietnam, (jon carry)..and he said that none of my generation is growing up well...
I think he is almost right.
Fortunately, in spite of a lot of us, this generation of young people has some WONDERFUL men and women that are going to represent very well.
