I had a liberal call me up wanting to know what Ford said about the war ...I think she assumed Bush would just melt because of what Ford said.

There are rumors regarding Steve, but they're nothing more than rumors and a bunch of possibly interesting coincidences at this point. The lack of almost any real info regarding his lovelife does make one wonder. (It reminds me of David Souter in a way.)

And for the record, by bringing this up, I am not in anyway criticizing Steven. I'm just responding to your comment about being surprised that he's not married.

Hi Justa, Freee-dame and I went to the WWII Memorial but we did not see Kristinn. By the time the procession came by we were very close to the front row of viewers, and we could clearly see a part of the flag-draped casket inside the hearse as it was stopped for the moments of Salute.

"Feel better. And remember, we still are one nation under God unless we let it be otherwise."

The fight is horrendous..but worthy. God Bless you for your strength. I have to take pause to reflect on our losses and and our gains. I believe that that freedom will prevail but there is much work to be done.

Pray hard friend, not for me but for the cause of freedom. We are in a the crossroads of history.

I mainly remembered him when he was much younger, and sorry to say, I didn't keep up through the years - only if someone points him out would I know that's who he is. Same with his brothers - I kinda got them mixed up when they got older.

I recognize Susan from meeting her and having mutual friends. That was a long time ago, too. Have no idea of her whereabouts or life doings anymore.

**so hard to do, the more I think of it (quitting) the more I find myself smoking...**

Kindred spirits.

I too got the very bad cold and cough in November - still coughing - and smoking. My husband is sooooo expasperated. I'm saying I'll quit January 1. But I'm smoking like a chimney right now too. Oyyyyyy.

The patches do work, I used them several years ago, and stopped for 7 months. I started up again, who knows why.

Freeping and smoking go hand in hand, I'm afraid. I might not be able to Freep too much. Maybe I should move the computer - I never smoke upstairs, because I can't stand the stink when I'm trying to sleep!!

Maybe we could have a support group?

(sorry to everyone else for the off topic)

Yes, we could! Maybe I'll put one up on the 2nd and we can start then, huh?

BTW, when we moved into this house, I vowed never to smoke inside..............I love my deck though, but it has cut down on the smoking. (Sometimes I wish I had a teeny tiny balcony off this bonus room though!).

Here is what I do...I set myself a busy hands project. Today was cleaning out the medicine cabinets and vanities in both bathrooms. While I am working I don't want to smoke, and when I freep I make sure I have a drink (water is best) and a low-calorie snack, like apple wedges. I freep for a while, and then get up and start another project.

I am having a hard time occasionally, because although I am not craving nicotine due to the patches, I LIKED smoking!

I bought myself a Binaca Blast breath spray and that helps.

When I get discouraged I pray and think about how I don't want the democrats to get my tax money. The last time I quit for a year was when Clinton decided to increase the cigarette tax.

I keep thinking about the money I will save. Keeps me going.
