The celebrations in Iraq seem to neuter those complaints, imho.
I think it's not the lack of complaining about the hanging so much as the "wishing they would have waited until 'all the trials' were over. Also the lack of appeals.
I think the Democrats by and large saw what our justice system was at one time and hope it never reverts back to.
The appeals process is sometimes not about insuring justice but "billable hours".
I have a nephew who is a trial lawyer. I know.
The EU (even the UK government), the Vatican, the NYTimes, the Russians - practically every government in the world except for Israel, Iraq, Iran, and the US.
***Have I missed something? Who's complaining?***
The every-half-hour "news" segments by ABC/CBS/etc include one or two voice clips of people objecting to the hanging. I do not believe that the broadcasts are "balanced" by any voice clips of persons supporting the event. I guess that in the "news"writer's perspective, the simple reporting of the event is the pro side of the "balance." which has to be "counterbalanced" by objectors, but not by supporters.
Wonder what Krauthammer thought about the industrial shredders that were fed live humans for Saddam Hussein's amusement.
