When I became aware that this was being done, I made it a point to listen to the hearings feeling sure that no one in the world would do such a thing but in a situation so dire for the mother's life that there were nothing but horrible choices. She was left flatfooted. Boy will he be missed, but he would make an excellent Supreme Court Justice.
