These guys were only here to get their six quarters to qualify for Social Security checks. The Guard should mind its own business.

Now can they finally shoot back? We're at war on two fronts. We need tanks on the border, if not a wall and a well stocked minefield.

WTF is right!

I have no idea what he thinks, but it would be an interesting answer at the daily presser.

I voted for him twice also. All I can say about him now is that he literally makes me sick.
I hope his sorry @$$ gets impeached. Ignoring the invasion would have been bad enough. However, his attitude of welcoming and encouraging the complete destruction of our borders is inexcusable. Right now the only bad things that would come about if he were to be impeached is that it would mean a victory for the communist party, and that any viable possible replacement for him, from either party, would most likely only continue the same destructive policy.

Seriously, if there is not a strong response from Bush to this latest cross border incursion I will have lost any remaining shred of respect that I had left for him.

I am not dissing your city at all but I hope that it is not mine to disappear although our chances are the same. Even if either one of our cities disappears I only hope that it is not in vain but that the rest of the country will wake up and take appropriate action.

What did Bush say about all the past incursions made by criminals in military uniform? No point in impeachment, because the fix is in.

What the H are our Guards folks doing there unarmed??? What's the rationale?

So deploying them to the border was purely a publicity stunt?

I think if any cities disappear, it will only be more reason to declare martial law on US citizens while the illegal aliens continue unhindered.

Public relations ploy. Bush's damage control for surrendering the sovereignty of America to the third world.

I hate it that I voted for him. Twice.

I read the Guard was on the border only for spotting and reporting to ICE; no authority to arrest or detain illegals.

Is this correct?

I have heard him. On Rush, Hannity and Laura Ingraham's radio shows--he is very supportive of Pres. Bush's, basically, pro-illegal position.

He was challenged pretty strongly by the hosts but didn't back down a bit (of course, he couldn't--his job is to represent the President and his view.)

Further, though, (although I never listened to TS's radio show) my understanding is that he himself held similar views to the Prez, Wall St. Journal editorial page, Fred Barnes, etc. before he ever landed in the White House...

Don't look for help from Tony...

Absolutely sickening.

I am so sick of our President. I voted for him twice.

Between him and the traitorous Senate Republicans that did d their best to sell us down the river, I have just about had it.

I realize now that I was right many years ago: All politicians are liars, and are only concerned about power and wealth.

The Border Patrol will not say whether shots were fired.

You KNOW there were shots fired or the guard would never have "retreated." How else could the illegals "attack?" I would like to know exactly what they were told. Obviously they were told NOT to tell HOW they were attacked.
