Why is a noose automatically considered racist?
That's what I thought when I read this article.
So now a hangman's noose is anti-black.
What tripe.
Thinking a noose is anti-black is a little absurd, but if I had a black employee come up to me upset about a noose hanging up in another room, I'd be an idiot not to take it down.

It's offense no matter what if your boss is an A-Hole and threatens you in your place of work. It would be time to leave, IMO. But then again a lawsuit...hmmmm
So if I associate tires with the African practice of necklacing whites who are unfortunately nabbed by mass hysterical rioting blacks, and if I observe a spare tire anywhere in the workplace, should the owner apologize to me and face liability for the thoughts I have been having and my sense of being offended?
(The correct answer is no, and the solution is to be accountable for our own personal 'wrong-thinking' which frequently self-induces our own misery when reality smacks us in the face.)
I'm guessing there's a whole lot more to this story than is being reported.
Maybe it was a symbol to celebrate the hanging of Saddam.
Since when is a noose a racist symbol anyway? When I think of a noose, I think of the wild west, cattle rustlers, swift justice and hanging judges, etc.. The movie, "Hang 'em High" wasn't about race. It was about outlaws and the wild west.
But these days, black Americans and their whoreyers will try to turn a piece of sawdust into a racist symbol.
I'm with you. A noose makes me think of the old west. Hangings were the main form of capital punishment in this country for nearly 200 years, and is still used in Japan, other Asian countries and the ME. Hanging, as state execution, goes back about 2500 years, and was used in Great Britain and Australia until the death penalty was abolished in those countries in the 60s and the 80s, respectively. In the U.S., WA and NH still retain hanging as an option for their death penalties, and Delaware only abolished it a few years ago.
Black Americans search out any word or symbol that could by any stretch of the imagination be considered racist, and then they sue. Now they've cornered the market on nooses.
I guess shakedowns are a good way to get out of working for a living.

What a load. If they'd been shot instead of hanged, which was the form the death penalty took during all those years you cite, they'd now hijack bullets as a symbol of racism.
Then I guess cops would have to resort to crossbows so as not to offend any black person by carrying bullets.
Your argument amounts to, "It's racist because they (blacks) say it is racist."
The Israelis have a lot more to worry about than swastikas these days. I seriously doubt if posting a swastika is going to shake them up much. By the way, Israel still has hanging as the established method of capital punishment.
What you don't understand is that just because somebody chooses to be offended or claims to be offended by something, does not mean that is a legitimate claim. Hanging is still a method of capital punishment in two states and several others until very recently. It was used for the death penalty for nearly 200 hundred years here, and we all know a whole lot more white men have been hanged than black men. Other civilized countries presently use it or used it until they abolished capital punishment. Just because some black people were hanged does not make the noose an inherently racist symbol.
It ain't a black thang, so get off your PC high-horse and stop letting the left lead you around by the nose.
It hasn't been established as an act of racism just because a couple of cable guys and you say so.
I wonder if there were any horse thieves around? They probably would have been really offended.
