>>>Golden Retrievers are wonderful Dogs...<<<

Couldn't agree more, since I now have two full time and three that I co-own!

I like them better than my kids-they don't talk back, and they don't ask for money....

> The anti-war crowd is already nuts.

The great thing about the anti-war crowd is that they carry the seeds of their own destruction. Did you see the slag Sheehan and her minions messing up a Dim press conference the other day? Made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

These shows have turned into the tryout and/or launching pad for this week's talking points.

The Sunday Shows are slow learners.

The Democrats have been using Juan Williams on FNS as their "crash test dummy" on the coming weekly talking points for quite a while now.

Exactly right. Part of the reason I listen. I often wonder if pubbie strategists bother, because they seem so totally unprepared when this junk is thrown at them.

Ooops, I'm the guilty party.

Apologize to your two dear little dogs for me, will you?

I don't want my ankles bit.

I love the dawg tawk on this thread! My little Pom was such a mellow, mild little thing until she started getting "goofy" in her 14-16th year. She had to be put to sleep the day after Thanksgiving ... would have been 16 this month.

Point is, I love dogs ... big, little and in-between. I would not have liked my Bea much if she would have been a hyper, yapping, engineered rat (that's hilarious!) like many of the toy breeds.

I did have to say a word in defense of little ones like my Bea who have not fit the mold as the Pomeranians mentioned on this thread!

Lawrence Korb just said the most ridiculous thing...that the Admiral was appointed because no one in the Army or Marines would do what the President wants. Joulwan and the lady from the AEI try to shoot it down, but Korb hangs tough, says he doesn't actually know this for a fact, but there can be no other explanation.

Wow Snugs. Now I know I LOVE the Cheneys!

My niece owns a Lab and if I ever get another dog, THIS is the breed I'm going for.

A Belgian Malinois, hey a gorgeous dog and not everyone in this neighborhood hates her. She has plenty of friends and lots of people stop and pet her and talk to her. She's a fixture around here and anyone who knows dogs knows Jo-Ann is a sweetheart. She's never made any attempt to attack anyone, not ever. She might if someone ever attacked me but thank God that's never happened.

The Belgian Malinois is like an autistic child, I've learned this you see. They get very excited very easily.

They are, however, easily trained. These are the dogs, if you recall, who were used to rescue victims of the 9-11 attacks at the World Trade Center.

Do y'all remember that they had to have firemen actually pose as victims because the dogs were getting depressed because they weren't finding any victims?

In a heartbeat I can imagine Jo-Ann getting depressed like that. Oh joy but she would love to go around saving people.

Belgian Malinois are now used widely in police departments around the country in place of the more common German Shepherd. German Shepherds allegedly are suffering from severe inbreeding problems.

And hey, Jo-Ann is scary looking, yes she is. I understand this. So don't pet her or talk to her is how I see it. While Jo-Ann loves human attention, she'll leave humans alone if they don't want to bother with her. She never barks at humans on our walk route but she is curious as to what they are doing.

Plenty of people around here love her though, don't think she's hated. I've been walking her for four years, she's a fixture. She's not allowed to walk on lawns, she doesn't poop on anyone's property, she's not allowed to dig.

I do my damn job as a dog owner is what I'm saying here.

And I'll fight to my death to defend her.

Don't worry. Lacey is almost 14 years old and has had many, many teeth removed. She might "gum" you a bit, but probably not bite.

Now Lucy, 18 months old, is another story. She will nip at your heels to get attention but is very, very friendly.

:)

Barney is cute and obviously have a great personality and great in front of the camera but somehow the late departed Spot was somehow more of a dog and seemed to suit a man better.

If you have never seen the Barney and Spot Cam of the President playing in the snow with her it is well worth watching and shows how close Spot was to him

Click here scroll down the page and click on Barney and Spot's winter wonderland - wonderful shots of the President playing in the snow with Spot and Barney.

"Get a real dog".

Hey Chuck....*I* like small dogs. Except maybe Pomeranians. I had a dacshund who was, you should smile, EXTREMELY vicious. Of course everyone thought it was Jo-Ann that was the vicious one.

But Cleetus (the dacshund) had a brain. He too was attacked once by a loose dog, yes he was. Man I never knew how many dog stories I have in me. But Cleetus, go with me here, RAN. He RAN and he RAN and he Ran.

See, Cleetus wanted to LIVE.

I love all dogs this is a fact. I love animals, in fact, even the bird fellows. I cried over those two dogs Jo-Ann got to, hey the last thing I ever want is for dogs to be hurt. They're DOGS for God's sake.

The best dog I ever had was a Golden Retriever named Chauncey...a gentle giant weighing 134 lbs.....gentle until or if anyone or anything was threatening me. Then, he turned into an attack dog par excellence. (I still mourn his death.)

I have been meaning to mention this for a few days..didn't know where.

I heard John Boehner on soundbites from Thursday, when Nancy took the reins at the House.

I have to say that I officially have decided he is not to be trusted as a Majority leader....he was very, very PROFUSE in his praise and "love" he gave to Nancy Pelosi.

He was talking about what an historic and "great" day that was....

PUKE!

She sounds a wonderful dog it is sad the some people just do not understand animals and many of them are animal owners.

They see the cute pretty cuddly animals on TV and forget they are real living creatures with their own minds and personalities not to mention needs.

I have said before, Boehner reminds me of a member of Sinatra's rat pack.
