I decided I didn't like Savage a while ago when he was playing with his audience by saying he didn't know if or how he thought he should vote (Republican's wouldn't go on his show and I think he was doing payback)....As far as I'm concerned the real issues are bigger than hurt feelings..
That being said...my boyfriend has a degree in history and said it was a big mistake to go into Iraq - which agrees with those who say that we are now in the middle of a war between the Hatfields and McCoys - (Sunnis and Shites)_. Boyfriend is basically a conservative but says this is really about oil. I sort of agree...if it weren't for us feeding the Muslims with our oil habit they wouldn't have all this money to spend on ruining us. Without our money they could go back to worrying about their camels and we could get on with our electric (or whatever) cars. Until that day we seem to be stuck in this awful contentious relationship.
Your boyfriend is an idiot. Dump him, and study harder.
Your boyfriend is studying history in college, which immediately makes him an authority to be trusted on current international relations?
I saw a dirty homeless guy on the street corner here in SF today with a sign that said "No War For Oil - Can I Borrow $1.00?"
Maybe the homeless guy was a history major like your boyfriend.
Perhaps you should write President Bush and suggest he hire the homeless guy as a policy advisor. He's got it all figured out. Your boyfriend can take over as soon as he graduates, if not sooner, b/c he's got it all figured out too, being a history major and all.
My sarcasm asid, I suggest you need to learn some critical thinking skills fast. Bumper sticker "wisdom" and parroting lines from lefty college professors won't get you through life unscathed, unless you merely want to live as a sheep.
