GRRRRRRRReat thread, MIss Billie ... and I love the way you framed it.
I watched the Patriots beat our hometown team yesterday, sitting in the living room of my buddy's house. He's a Boston boy and so was in great anxiety the whole time, and greatly relieved and happy when it was over.
Football is the game of games, but I'm not so much a fan as I used to be.
Ever since 9/11, sports just don't do it for me.
The only contest I really care about these days is the one between Freedom and Terror ... Dubya's our quarterback, and our coach ... he's the one I'm rootin' fer ... )
Still, hanging out with friends and watching a good game makes for a fine day ... kinda like dropping in here at the Finest.
Life can be very good.

Particularly loved this line!
How true. I also have less tolerance for most sit coms, liberals, liberal talk show hosts and our main stream media. But I hope the games provide some entertainment and frivolous excitement for everyone. It kind of unites us even if we aren't all professional football fans. GO GATORS!!!
Life can be very good. Indeed.
God Bless our heroes: our commander and coach, and men and women in the armed forces. May our true heroes all enjoy watching a good game or two during the playoffs and Super Bowl.
How can anyone be against a team called The Patriots?
