That's a moving story TWAH. There are some good people from No. CAL, but you'd never know it here on FR.

Oh, and we could count Mr. Jim Robinson amongst them.

:)

I have just sent an email to him at work hopefully someone will pick it and let us know if he is OK if he is not at work.

He sent me a link to his work's webpage ages ago so I went there and clicked on contact and it gave me his email address.

I will let you all know if and when I hear anything.

Thank you, snugs!

I've been in and out so much lately with the kids' being home that I had no idea it had been so long since Mike had posted.

I remember his post about being ill, but I didn't know it was the last one he has posted.

You will find two more TOUCHING photos of the President with Chad at

PBS INTERVIEW
Today, the President did an interview with Jim Lehrer for the PBS show "NewsHour" . . . You can read the transcript, listen to an audioclip and (I think) watch a videoclip at the following website:

MUST READ . . .

THE COURAGE OF PRESIDENT BUSH
By Mark Noonan

Keep trying, liberals and leftists, but you will never make this man President Bush back down - he's your better, in every sense of the word, as his interview on 60 Minutes indicates:

60 Minutes wondered why he seems so determined to go his own way when most of the nation doesn’t back his plan.

"I’m not gonna change my principles. I'm not gonna, you know, I’m not gonna try to be popular and change my principles to do so," Bush explains.

"You’re not very popular in the country right now, to be frank," Pelley remarks.

"I’m afraid you're right," Bush acknowledges.

Asked if that gets to him, the president says, "Not really."

"You know that there's a perception in some quarters of the country that you're stubborn," Pelley says.

"Oh, yeah. Well," Bush replies.

Asked if agrees with that, the president asks, "Do I agree that I’m stubborn or do I agree that people think I’m stubborn?"

"People think you do. What do you think?" Pelley asks.

"I think I’m a flexible, open-minded person. I really do. I really do. Take this policy. I spent a lot of time listening to a lot of people because, Scott, I fully understand the decisions I make could affect the life of some kid who wears the uniform. Or could affect the life of some child growing up in America 20 years from now," Bush says.

"You know, a lot of people have asked me to ask you whether all of this is just crushing. It has to be. You read the polls, you know what people are saying, the war has not gone the way you had hoped it would, and they wonder whether it's just crushing on your spirit," Pelley asks.

"Quite the contrary. My spirits are strong, and I’m blessed to be the president," Bush says. "I really am not the kind of guy that sits here and says, ‘Oh, gosh, I’m worried about my legacy.’ I’m more worried about making the right decisions to protect the United States of America. See, we're in a war. People wanna come and attack you and attack our country. I understand criticism. But I’ve got a pretty thick hide."

On January 20th, 2009, President Bush will leave office, and likely never give you critics a thought for the rest of his life - he will have done the best he could to do what he thought was right, and that is all a man can ever really do. You critics just don't understand the man, because your leaders sway to and fro on the winds of fads and the passions of the moment. And you, too, don't have the hard center that President Bush has - the conviction that some things are right, some things wrong, and you try to do the right thing even if it is very unpopular and will cost you heavily. When is the last time a prominent liberal or leftist leader did something politically risky? Well, I'll tell you - Christopher Hitchens, a leftist, did something risky; so did Joe Lieberman, a liberal. What they did, of course, was to set aside their deep and abiding disagreements on a host of issues with President Bush and join him in our vital battle against a deadly enemy. For the rest of the liberal/left, it has just been a series of cowardly and nasty acts.

I'M STICKING WITH PRESIDENT BUSH. If we fail, then we fail honorably - and not giving a fig for the opinions of those who don't even have the courage to come out in the open and battle against us. We will care about those who come straight at us, not as those who try to knife us from behind.

I'M STICKING WITH PRESIDENT BUSH.

My sentiment, too. I thought at first that it was Peggy Noonan...but she has become a moonbat lately!

Loved the speech for the St. Louis Cards....thanks for the link! :D

I know the feeling it happens all the time to me things like that.

I thought I had overwritten or forgot to save a file before exiting wordpro the other day but fortunately auto save found it for it me and repaired the file.
