I just wish the taxes weren't so high in NY, not sure I can afford to retire here! As it is I drive up to Ra-cha-cha from Cowhocton every day just to avoid the outlandish property taxes. Ask Lizol to get on the Eastern European ping list, I have to say they are light years ahead of the Euroweenies in the preservation of Freedom!

Thanks for the invite to get on the ping list. I'll request it from Lizol. I just had that discussion with a work buddy about being able to afford to retire in NY because the taxes are so high. Look at what we're paying for gas compared to Ohio. There was a place in Akron, OH for $1.82. My wife is from Akron, so who know's we may have to head there to live when retirement comes.
Are you originally from Rachacha? I went to school at St. George's until it closed. I grew up in the old neighborhood and lived next to Pulaski Park for 6 years. There were a bunch of us Lithuanians living in that neighborhood! :-)

My parents moved us to Naples back in 64 when I was only 4'ish so I can and can't say that I'm from there originally!
I did find some interesting history about St. Georges though at this link
http://www.monroecc.edu/depts/sociology/pluralism/profile24a.htm I personally don't like Bishop Clark as he seems to think he is immune to the dictates of the Papacy.

I gained a lot of respect for Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead for their support of the Lithuanian basketball team. I thought that was really cool what they did.

I gained a lot of respect for Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead for their support of the Lithuanian basketball team. I thought that was really cool what they did. That was the '92 Olympics and Lithuania and the other Baltic States just gained their independence from the Soviet Union. The Lithuanians could shoot some hoop, but didn't have the money to even get the the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead heard about this, sponsored the team and provided those great uniforms! The Lithuanians went on to win the Bronze Medal. Romas Ubartas also won the Gold Medal in the discus.
