At some point way back there when I was a kid reading my grandfather's Outdoor Life magazines I recall seeing advertisements about being a "wildlife conservation officer and work in the outdoors." I also recall thinking, "now this has to be the job for this young farm boy." Some forty-odd years later and a lot of water having passed under the bridge, I have to say had the effort not been such a challenge, it was just another job. I can't really think of any other careers I ever wanted but I can tell you I am very happy to be retired.

God bless you with many, many enjoyable retirement years. As you know, I am sure, retirement simply means retiring from a formal, paid occupation, and has nothing to do with retiring from life. For some, these years can be some of the best and most fruitful and even happiest years of one's life.
