Post the related threads on your state boards to generate interest in attending.
Make up a pdf flyer and email it to every conservative blog, website, veterans organization and Republican Party club you can find.

If any of you are going to CPAC, please mention this to the convention. It could help us with recruiting people to come to the counter protest, and the attendees could spread the word back home.
Contact local VFW, American Legion and Veterans groups. (see post 53)
Contact Rolling Thunder and Patriot Guard Riders. (see post 55)
Contact the College Republicans, Leadership Institute, GOP Orgs, Conservative Orgs.

Word about the protest is getting out! Excerpts from ...
Veteran-American Voices - The pendulum swings
But what can we, you and I, do about it?
Folks its time to put up or shut up!
If we do not counter with a physical presence at their rallies, contact our congresscritters, and, in general, put faces and bodies behind the words, we may as well quit.
Get off the sidelines and get in the game
we have thousands of cheerleaders, but few players.
Counter Protest March 17th, 2007 At the Wall
We are not going to allow this to happen if we have to stand 20 deep around the WALL.
This letter will be going all over the Internet...to all the major Veteran groups...please spread this far and wide.

Reply Mail from the National Park Service
Dear Sir:
I forwarded your E-mail attachment to the National Park Service employee and U.S. Park Police Sergeant who will be meeting with applicants for a public gathering permit for a large march/demonstration on 17 MAR 07. At this time, it is accurate to state that the National Park Service has issued no permit for any event starting at the Wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, on that date. As I mentioned on the telephone, there are special regulations, found at Title 36, United States Code of Federal Regulations, Section 7.97, which protect core Vietnam Veterans Memorial areas and resources from such activities.
As my Supervisor directed, I have requested the National Park Service employee responsible for reviewing any public gathering permit application, as described above, to respond to the concerns you expressed on the telephone this morning, via E-mail. Thank you for your time.
Robert M. Healy, Jr.
Park Ranger, National Mall and Memorial Parks
In other words the website is lying they have not yet gotten a permit, now is the time to fight with the pen we must get this information out asap....people need to clog their Congressmen and Senators and the National Park Service with E-mails and phone calls! They can't be allowed to be anywhere near any Memorial! Thats what the streets are for the gutter and the garbage. Please forward this far and wide! Also this doesn't mean we shouldn't get as many Vietnam Veterans as possible to DC I remember another time long ago when WE needed America to support us and they didn't....we need to support our troops and their mission!

Excellent! It would be great to see you again.
Can you post this on your state board? IIRC, there are others from your state that have expressed interest.

I remember another time long ago when WE needed America to support us and they didn't....we need to support our troops and their mission! The day after the election I walked into the school where I teach. The first person I saw came up to me close to tears. Her son is an intelligence officer stationed in Iraq.
Her comment to me was, "They are going to do to my son what they did to my husband in Viet Nam."
I will be there.

Justa, I'm beginning to get vibes from the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapters about potential support for the counter rally:
"This "heads up" courtesy of Tom Mutha ( President, Liberty Bell Chapter 266, Vietnam Veterans Of America ). Looks like I'll forego the St. Patrick's Day festivities here in Philly this year for a trip to the Wall !!! How dare these pieces of shit use our memorial as a rally point !!!!!"
Alan F. Maberry
Past President,
Liberty Bell Chapter 266
Vietnam Veterans Of America
"I KNOW WHERE I WILL BE ON ST. PATRICKS DAY...HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU BESIDE ME, AND A FEW THOUSAND OTHER VETERANS AND SUPPORTORS. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR MAILING LIST, IF YOU CARE. SEMPER FIDELIS," TOM MUTHA
Please contact your local chapter of the VVA. I see the http://vva.org web site is not yet reorganized to link all the chapters
