The problem that accompanies all of this woman's proposals is that they involve not incentives but confiscation and redistribution of what she thinks belongs to the government, i.e. profits.

Why not give tax breaks to companies who research alternative fuels...why not incentivize oil companies to find more domestic oil?

Because her mind works only in one direction - money needs to go from the people to her and she will in turn dole it out to each according to their needs.

That's an easy one... That would empower the oil companies and that's the last thing the left wants.

They have no interest or incentive to help anyone become self reliant. You'd have to believe the left would be willing to put themselves out of business.

They are only interested in empowering themselves and making sure everyone relies on them for as much as possible.

Because Miz Hillary knows best how to put all that guvmint money to work to discover all those new methods of alternative fuels and stuff.

(Note that AFTER she takes the profits from the evil oil companies, it becomes guvmint money.)

"Why not give tax breaks to companies who research alternative fuels...'

I believe she said she was going to use the oil company profits to do just that. (Part of the profits, anyway.)

They've already found the oil. The wonderful government won't let them produce it

Didn't you get the memo?

There's no more oil to be had, according to the liberals.

Even if there were oceans of the stuff to be had (there is and more being discovered all the time) it's intrinsically evil and shouldn't be acquired when other cleaner forms of energy can be created...even if it takes a hundred years and costs trillions of dollars. In the meantime we must all make certain sacrifices in the name of the fragile environment and world peace.

World peace can only be achieved with world government and total disarmament at all levels: From the smallest 22 squirrel rifle up to the big nukes. That lofty goal requires that certain personal liberties be sacrificed in the name of the greater good. But...you already knew that didn't you?

But Hey...SUCH A DEAL! Look at what you get in return for those minor sacrifices:

Total equality for starters. There'll be no more greed in the world, because everybody will be equally poor, except of course those folks already in the power/wealth loop or whose zip code is 90210. No more middle class capitalists aching for the "American Dream." That's gone forever. Replaced by the nanny state.

No more war. No more crime. No more HATE. Just one big happy family. Led by.....?? I dunno, but if you'll sniff the air a bit you can just detect the faint odor of....Brimstone. It's closer than you think.

That is because she is the smartest woman in the world and knows what is best for us.

Why would we trust experts in economics, business management, and fiscal policy when we've got Hillary to guide us?

Once she goes on her "listening tour" you will see this is true.
