Why do Windows users always pull out the "gay" thing when the Mac is mentioned?

Using a Mac does not make you gay, and I'd bet more gays use Windows than the Mac, and that the majority of Mac users are hetero.
If "gay" is all you have...well...that's pretty sad.
Something useful? How about Final Cut Pro. Aperture. Logic. IDVD, iPhoto, iTunes, the iPod, the AppleTV, the MacBook.
MS makes useful stuff too, I use Office every day -on a Mac! *gasp*
Why is it Windows users cannot abide with the existence of other operating systems? Is the MacOS and Linux and Unix and FreeBSD and all the others SUCH an insult to you?
