It's an intriguing possibility. And it may be the only way for Christianity to survive the beheaders. We know by now that this is a win-lose situation: if the moose-slime win, we lose. And the only way for us to win is to force them to lose.

The Crusades were a valiant experiment, largely responsible for the survival of Christianity during the Dark Ages. We could be living in the Age of the Final Crusade, the one that tests whether Western Civilization deserves to endure.

If Christianity succumbs to its own lethargy, indifference, secular notions of "propriety," and collective guilt over its own success, then it isn't worthy to carry on the name.
