In a blatant instance of intellectual dishonesty, Media Matters, which might be considered the liberal alter ego of NB, edited Chris Matthews' "fascist" slur of Rudy Giuliani out of its account of yesterday's Hardball.
As I noted here, on yesterday's show, Matthews, discussing Rudy with former congresswoman Susan Molinari, had this exchange:
Matthews: "He got the pee smell out of the phone booths in New York. Even phone booths that aren't booths, they're just a place to make a phone call, had that smell about them before. I think I've been to New York enough times -- he did clean up that atmosphere in New York."
Molinari: "You bet he did. He stopped making excuses for people. . . "
Matthews, interrupting: "Was he a little bit of a fascist?"

But in Media Matters' account of the exchange, the "fascist" comment conveniently disappears. Here's how Media Matters plays it:

The Media Matters item also contains a video clip of the exchange. It, too, manages to omit the f-word. How can Media Matters possibly defend its attempted deception?

At least Matthews had the guts to say what he thinks. For Media Matters to sneakily attempt to suppress the slur is worse, IMHO.
Of course, the Anti-Smoking Nazis, Safety-Nazis, Gun-control Nazis, Human-rights commissions, and other Leftist groups aren't facist. They're just working for the common good. [Barf]
I watched it and saw Matthews say fascist.
Immediately I wondered, would he ever, ever apply that or similar term to Hillary or any other Democrat?
We all know the answer.
That is censoring, part of the leftists plan. Caught Steve Abato (I believe his last name is longer but I believe I saw it today as Abato) saying Judy is going to be Rudy's problem.
Matthews does say what he thinks.That is why his reting are a no-show
And I'll bet that Susan Molinari just sat there and simpered. That's why she and David Gergen and Christine Todd Whitman get invited onto these shows as guest "Republicans" - they never call people like Matthews on their outrageous statements.

He used the word fascist word later in the same show...only this time I think he was referring to the Bush Admin., I am not sure.
I just know that I had had the time last night...I would have pointed out about 6 different outrageous things that Chrissy said....last night was one of his worst, when it came to low blows...and being just plain nasty.
