Proof of Iranian Nuclear Weapons Program Demanded in US Congress [Ron Paul asks Condi]
ShortNews ^ | February 9, 2007 | ShortNews

US secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice was quizzed yesterday over the failure by the current US administration to present any form of solid evidence over Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program.

During the questioning one Republican congressman, Ron Paul told the hearing "Unproven charges against Iran's nuclear intentions are eerily reminiscent of the false charges made against Iraq."

Paul went on to say "This sounds like Iraq, where accusations came first and proof was supposed to come later – only that proof never came because the accusations turned out to be false."

It seems Mr. Paul isn't reading the same reports that I have read.

It's so interesting to read on this site and elsewhere how BUSH is supposedly a RINO.

With "Republicans" like this ass in Congress, how a president who's leading the fight against terror with feeble support from his party's elected representatives is accused of being a RINO is beyond me.

I must hit the rack. Work comes early tommorow morning.
But somehow those that have ties with Tony Snow had better convince him to ask the POTUS and others, for some form of well organized press releases that can publically start showing Americans and others what web sites to visit to start learning of all the wmds and intents to re-establish a nuclear program geared at producing uranium nuclear bombs Iraq had on the table.
It seems like America has little clue as to what is contained in the Harmony Database and translated works by our Jveritas and some others at this point.
This is very royally fizzing me off over the past half year.
Again. Gotta hit the rack for some sleep. Do have a great upcoming day.

Lunatic Fringe
from the Red Rider LP "As Far As Siam"

Lunatic fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter.

Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
We know you've got to blame someone
For your own confusion
But we're on guard this time
Against your final solution

We can hear you coming
(We can hear you coming)
No you're not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
Lunatic fringe
We know you're out there
But in these new dark ages
There will still be light

An eye for an eye;
Well before you go under...
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder?

No, that won't wash. Bush likes deficit spending, big government, and being in power. That's the very model of a modern day Republican. What is isn't is a conservative.

If they expect to have Cuban missile crisis type photos every time, it is not going to happen, especially when a nation is hiding it from the beginning, such as Iran

Regarding Ron Paul---

There is a big difference between a Libertarian and a Real Republican.....

Regarding BUSH---

To a Real Republican Bush shows symptoms of RINO-ism.....

Apart from his position on Islam.....oops....er....terror he has no financial/budgetary similarities to the "Typical" Republican....nor is his immigration/border security position in line with most republcan thinking....so much so that many who call themselves conservative have distanced themselves from Bush....

I'm one of those.

Are you of the opinion that Iran is NOT pursuing a nuclear weapon?

janetgreen just hates Bush and probably cheers for Obama and Hillary whenever they oppose him.

Ah. I see. So I would guess she is not really interested in whether Iran is REALLY engaged in a nuclear weapons program.

When in a war, you might have to deficit spend for various periods during the war.

That is different from wholesale spending with corresponding tax increase.

Well, you've got some stuff right here. Of course, Reagan was quite the deficit spender, so...oops, I guess Reagan doesn't qualify as conservative either.

"Bush likes...being in power...the very model of a modern day Republican. What is(sic) isn't is a conservative."

You got that part right, many of today's conservatives seem quite happy to be out of power, and carping from the sidelines. It is easier than leadership and governance.
