I just heard a snippet of the show on the Medved show while I was driving. I was laughing so hard I had to pull off to the side of the road.
I don't have tv, but I hope to find it on limewire.
24 is a white knuckle ride, but I watch it for the superb acting. I don't know where they find them, but the actors seem to really want to stretch into unforgettable roles, and often they do. The death of Ryan Chappell was extraordinary.
How does one email ideas to the show? I think we Freepers should start a thread with skit ideas to nail leftist icons right smack dab in their most vulnerable areas. Here are some ideas:
1. Hillary arrives for a listening tour event in a black SUV that plows through several local policemen before it stops. Out steps the Thighmaster, who attempts to outshout the screams of her hit-and-run victims:
"Good morning, I'm here to listen to your - QUIET!! - the people want to hear from ME!! And I'm trying to listen to - I SAID SHUTUP!!... I can't even hear myself listening!"
2. Barney Frank writes a barnbuster speech about the "appalling" scandal of Foley's SMS mesages to male pages, and he gets help from his live-in boyfriend prostitute while writing it.
He reminds his boyfriend that he has to kick all paying customers out before noon, since they both have to go to Dem ex-Congressman Gerry Studds' funeral, and that they also have to pick up the male page that Studds had actual sex with when the page was only 17.
(If you all remember, a supreme moment of irony and profound hypocrisy came when the Democrats were hyperventilating about Foley, and had to break off to heap praise on Studds, who died right at that poignant moment. Synchronicity is on our side. Here's a link: )
3. Fatboy Kennedy and Chris Dodds are on a yacht, yukking it up about giving rights to women - unlimited rights to all women, for themselves in particular. An attractive female attendant approaches to ask them what they want for lunch, they both smirk at each other, and yell in unison "A Sandwich!!"
As they both get up to double-team her, the boat lurches, and "Jaws" music plays in the background. Breaking the surface of the water and circling the boat is the tailfin of a 60's vintage sedan. Fatboy screams "It's the Ghost of Chappaquiddick!", and the camera pans out as Fatboy and the Dudd fight over a lifesaver doughnut.
I'm sure Freepers have lots of other skit ideas to bash these hypocritical rat-b******s right where they need it most. Again, there should be a separate thread to post ideas for skits, and perhaps, the show producers might take a look...
"OMG...
Laugh track..."
Yes, the laugh track is just terrible. They should can it ASAP, or get a better one than the horror they are using now. It almost ruins the show's humor, it's so bad. You end up fixating on the rotten laugh track. Whoever injected it into the show should be fired yesterday.
gad, someone ought to refer them to scott ott (scrappleface.com) for a humor injection
unbelievable they won't pay dennis miller what he's worth
is there any email address where they're soliciting viewer feedback?
Like you I had never watched "24". I had heard a lot about it and it seemed like I was missing out on something good so I went to the video store one rainy weekend and rented the first six episodes of a particular season. It didn't take long before my wife and I were both hooked. We'd go back to the video store and rent the next set of episodes again and again until we had finished the entire 24 hour season. It was a great way to get acquainted with the show. It was especially nice to not have to wait a week for the next episode. You might want to consider that approach. I would suggest starting at season one so you will know who the characters are and what it's all about. Just a thought.
