Many social cons don't want the Republican judges, nor do they want the Congress back. They are more interested in displays of authenticity than policy results.

Threatening to vote 3rd party is like being a political suicide bomber, but the antics here have an added layer of irrationality, in that they damage goals of the bomber instead of the bombed.

No one is threating to vote third party. We simply are not going to vote for Rudy, who still has not declared or filed the necessary papers. Get a grip!

Personally I don't give a damn about Republican judges. I want conservative judges, not Republican ones and I see no reason to believe a liberal Republican will nominate conservative judges. Stevens is a Republican justice and so is Souter. To get conservative judges we need a conservative president.
