Re your post #17 - Yes and no, Ya Ya, as the GOP is much kinder to people in their party who have lost an election, for example. But the left, they treat their almost-winners (aka losers) as death walking or something. They are very cruel in that way.

And the way they are treating Senator Clinton right now is really making that base look horrible - it's like, who would want to side with them? They are so bent on getting her to say these three words, it's just ridiculous. Paul Kruger is telling her, look, Edwards said those three words, and the base was "very forgiving." But, as the Sunday NYT article made clear, she won't - because she says she would want that same support if she were president. Well, she's not getting much support from her base right now. And, they are too foolish to think about her candidacy in the bigger picture of history.

It's just like what happened to Janet Reno in 2002 in FL, in a warped way. Because in that case, too, a fraction of the party said no to her candidacy (had she won, she would have been the first woman governor of this state), and so, they ran someone else after ensuring her base could not vote for her, and, they lost big to Gov Bush.

But, Gov Bush was smart - he then chose a qualified woman to be his Lt Governor, and made history, as she was the first in that high position.

I am beginning to think the Dems are going to lose this election all by themselves, with no help from the GOP necessary. Now, if only the GOP had a candidate they could rally around...hmmm...who would that be...

Oh, it's "Spilling" - in fact, it's like a tidal wave. It's very unsettling to watch from the sidelines, too. I mean, there are so many other things they could be talking about. It's just insane.

Re Obama - I think you're right, but, I am guessing: it's going to be Edwards who takes the nomination.

I think that GOP candidate is Jeb Bush, but oh how the MSM howls about that, bemoaning a Bush dynasty, when Jeb's name was mentioned. Funny, no equal howls about a Clinton dynasty.

Maybe he will jump in at the last possible minute. If he did, he would win. There's no doubt in my mind about that.

Much too much is being made about the views of this ugly-on-he inside-and-out woman. She speaks the language of the typical colloectivist whose vision of a nation would suit the top tier well but leave everyone else much poorer.
To give her press and a voice is the same as giving al qaeda press and voice. It's big lies we don't need--and the best thing to do is ignore her, don't buy her and let her slip away into obscurity.
She's as anti-American as they come.

I think Jeb will have to be drafted to run. And if the pary has a brain, that's what they'll do.

does anyone really comprehend how dellusional one must be to think that they are capable of achieving peace and justice in this world...it's the height of vanity....and despicable in it's own way.

"achieving peace and justice in this world"

oh how lofty sounding! It's a cover for the far left kooks, what they really desire is the downfall of America, the failure of capitalism, the ressurection of Big Brother.

So Cindy said she'd vote for anybody committed to peace. Well, it is too bad that that person was hung by rope not too long ago -- Saddam Hussein was a man committed to peace, Cindy...so much so that he was even willing to kick out UN weapons inspectors searching his country on several occasion just so that the "peace" could be kept; not to mention the clever ways that he silenced political dissidents, also to keep the "peace".

Cindy turns on her supporters.

Like the rabid dog she is she turns on anyone she can reach.

Friend and Foe alike. Perhaps this will wake up some of that support to the fact that they are dealing with a woman that will bite anyone who gets in the way of headline for her.

The MSM has ignored Cindy and will continue to do so as long as she keeps attacking the anointed one.

I, my sister Dede, and another Gold Star Mother, Lynn Braddach, whose son, Travis Nall, was killed in Iraq in 2003, met with Senator Clinton in DC in September of 2005. We poured our hearts and souls out to her. We cried as we told her of our sons and our fear for the people of Iraq and the escalating body count of our brave young people. She sat there stone-faced and walked out and told Sarah Ferguson of the Village Voice, "My bottom line is that I don't want their sons to die in vain.... I don't believe it's smart to set a date for withdrawal.... I don't think it's the right time to withdraw." She may as well have slapped us in the face using Bloody George's line and using our son's sacrifice to justify her war-mongering.

On Thursday, January 18th, Senator Clinton introduced a meaningless bill to put a cap on the number of soldiers that can be in Iraq, set at January 1st levels. It is as weak and meaningless as a nonbinding resolution - and a politically safe move, since almost three fourths of the country oppose the war and oppose Bloody George. By the time she introduced her Senate bill last Thursday, over 1000 of our young people had come home in body bags and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis had died, while she was waiting for the best political time to be semi-against the war. How many of our troops are lying in Walter Reed with devastating injuries that could have been prevented if a Senate leader like Clinton had taken a moral stance instead of political one?

This occupation of Iraq can't be won by being smarter - it was lost before we went in. The US, again, was a big loser in a capricious military expedition, with the support of Senator Clinton. She is an amazingly brilliant person, and she cannot say that she was fooled by George. We, the American public, can be brilliant too, and we can't buy that baloney.

In 2005, I was dying to support Hillary for president: finally, a bright woman with experience. However, she is a champion fence-sitter and politically heartless.

I again affirm my commitment to peace. I don't care if it is a man or a woman; Democrat or Republican; white or black; Christian, Jew or otherwise. I will only support a candidate who is courageously and uncompromisingly committed to peace.

Hillary Clinton is not that person. She never will be. History speaks louder than words.

Cindy Sheehan's erroneous belief about hillary clinton's intelligence aside--(missus clinton's 'brilliance' is belied daily by the transparency of her demagoguery)--Ms. Sheehan has in fact nailed the arrogant, self-serving, power-hungry phony... and if this country is lucky, buried her, too.

I don't think Cindy Sheehan has ever written a word of one of her diatribes. They're farmed out to Kos-types and her name slapped atop them, is my guess. That woman hasn't the time nor the attention span to actually construct a column.

Watching Hillary "dance" with the left kook fringe of her party reminds me of Charles Durning's big song and dance number in the movie, "Best Little Whorehouse".
