You are quite welcome. I realized when I posted it so many times that Freepers could easily think I made the stuff up because I am a big Rudy person so I did a bunch of research and found links to things that I said he accomplished.

Also here is a handy dandy chart from National Review's Deroy Murdock about Rudy:
From his column called Supply-Sider In Chief .

New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's Fiscal Record: 1993-2001

Yeah but Rudy isn't a movie star. I'd love to be proven wrong.

Character issues? You mean because he's divorced?

Yea, that's going to be an issue when you are running against a woman who let herself be walked all over for decades and still is to this day by a man, humiliated in front of the world, and took it all in exchange for some power... Yea, Rudy's got character issues that are going to cost him an election against Hitlery.. Be serious.

If you are going to write off every politician that's had an affair, you can basically purge 99% of all elected officials out of office tommorrow, both male and female.

What you said.

Hilary is an awful candidate--Have you seen her speak? Horrible, non inspiring.

This country is going to want a change in 08, and continuing the Clinton-Bush presidency is not going to fly.

One of the reasons McCain fell short in 2000 was because he couldn't beat Bush out there.

The local sports station plays the Michigan fight song when they talk about him.

Yes you're right! I heard he's in NYC trying to get Wall Street to give him money.

I think also people resent the entitlement mentality she has. Heck even a big lib like David Geffen does. For all this talk in the MSM about some red states becoming "bluer" they're overlooking that some blue states aren't that far away from turning red.

I'm RC and it's no secret that the Vatican is always willing to hand out annullments to the priveleged few, no matter how long the marriage and for whatever silly argument to justify it.

All it takes is money.

Ironic isn't that Bush's incumbency may actually work against her?

Ladies and Gentlemen (that excludes a few of you)

I strongly suggest that we attempt to boycott the likes of "TommyDale".

If this is indeed a man - his lifes work is bent of damning everything Rudy - rather than attempting to convince us of the virtues or positions of a candidate of his choice.

This is a demonstration of fear and paranoia - simply said.

To reply to - or attempt to engage someone of this ilk is really pointless.

Let's talk about our candidates - the hurdles they face - the attributes they bring to the table - the benefit any one of our candidates will bring over any Demoncratic candidate.

Honestly - put the vile among us into the sand and let them yell at themselves.

I for one will not longer engage those who slam our party's candidates.

You need to go back and look at the numbers again, and this time count the new Democratic voters.

You mean the ones that voted for Arnie or those that voted for Dick Riordan? (LA mayor during the 90s). California isn't so blue as you might think. While wingnuts tend to make the news, the vast majority of people are somewhat fiscally conservative/socially moderate.

I'm not sure where people get the idea that Rudy can't pick up more Dem votes than he might lose from SoCons. Hillary registers huge negatives - she can't seem to get past 46-48%. Rudy would clean her clock in any sound bite tailored speech or debate format in the big blue states.

Not only is it not "correct" but listening to such claims just makes it clearer that you have NO alternative to him. Intially I was of the mind that Convention time would come without a candidate having enough votes. But now that McCain seems to be collapsing on a broad front and Rudy gaining strength the fight may well be over in February.

Since Hillary's negatives are so high Rudy would beat her in almost every state. Maybe not NY and Mass but the rest will be difficult for her to win. If that is the case and a landslide is the result then the GOP could regain both the House and Senate.

Rudy will select a very conservative running mate who will be set up to make a strong run later for the White House.

"School choice (vouchers)" = WRONG.

"May 12, 1999 | NEW YORK -- In January, when Mayor Rudy Giuliani delivered his State of the City address, he opened what should have been a necessary and vibrant battle over educational principles. Giuliani proposed putting several million dollars into vouchers that would allow poor children stranded in the worst public schools to attend private ones.

"If we give poor parents the same opportunity to make choices about their children's education that the richest and most affluent parents in New York have," the mayor said, "let's see if that doesn't work to really energize that school district and help to create another alternative and more competition."

Dressing the conservative faith in free markets in the liberal cloth of fighting inequality, the mayor's words typified the argument increasingly and effectively made for vouchers by an unlikely coalition of libertarians, the religious right and traditionally Democratic minorities. That the mayor would advocate the cause in a city once so renowned for its public schools only added to the impact and symbolism."

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/1999/05/12/vouchers/index.html

"Euthanasia (What IS Rudy's position on this one?)"

If you don't know, why is it on your list?

"History of selections and appointments (Bernie Kerik)"

One selection, actually made by GWB, does not a "history" make. Giuliani made excellent choices who cleaned up NYC in record time.
