VANITY: Anyone hear loud explosion in Monroe area of New Jersey?

Associate called to report hearing a loud explosion and then losing all utilities except cell phone in Monroe, New Jersey area.
Anyone else hear it?
Any idea what caused it?

Probably just a transformer that he heard.
It's not an area with petrochemical plants or refineries, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has information.
