This is a sad reflection of the state of mind of the American people. The fact that he is saying this and not afraid he will be run out of the country. He thinks he will be some kind of a hero. He will have to answer for this.

Why would you want someone to leave the country just for disagreeing with you? Considering how many people probably disagree with you, that would get old fast.
"Excuse me, sir, but I couldn't help but overhear that you believe the sabbath should be celebrated on a Saturday. I hope you don't mind, but could you kindly pack up and leave this country? Thanks a ton!"
He thinks he will be some kind of a hero.
Maybe he thinks he will garner a lot of free publicity.
