I tend to agree. The era of comebacks in the primaries, debates being important, etc., is over. We're going to have a pretty good idea who the two candidates will be by Christmas, then the money will take over. The conventions are just coronation ceremonies and infomercials to get your spin out to the people who tune in for 30 seconds to see who the candidates actually are. If you're a supporter of Romney, McCain, Gingrich, or Hunter, you better help them gain some traction before Christmas or it will be all over before the first vote is even cast in a primary!

This will really be heresy but I think were far better off in the past with the smoke filled back rooms at the convention deciding the party nominee.
