"Al-Qaeda video threating Spanish troops ‘genuine’"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "MADRID - Spain's CNI intelligence service confirmed the authenticity of a videotape purportedly from Al Qaeda that threatens attacks against Spanish troops serving in Afghanistan.
Defence minister Jose Antonio Alonso said the government "does not discount any threat or pressure" coming from international terrorists and especially when linked to Al Qaeda.
Regarding the latest violent incident experienced by Spanish troops in Afghanistan, which occurred on March 15 but was revealed on Wednesday in Parliament, the minister commented that "it is thought" that two men were using a motorcycle to transport the bomb that exploded prematurely were going to attack Spanish troops and/or another military contingent.
He said that the motorcycle approached a Spanish convoy but exploded while still about 200 metres (yards) away, a blast which did not injure any of the troops."

"Christian House Church Leaders Arrested in Liaoning and Anhui Provinces of China"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "MIDLAND, TEXAS (ANS) -- Local police in the Chinese province of Liaoning arrested a 54-year-old house church leader while she was sharing her faith with the secretary of the Communist Party of her village.
Ms. Gu Changrong was arrested by the police in Qingyuan county, Fushun city, Liaoning province as she was sharing her faith with Mr. Yu Mingfu, who is the secretary of the Communist Party of her village.
According to China Aid Association (CAA), Mr. Yu called the police accusing Ms. Gu "poisoning Communist Party members" with the Christian message. Three Public Security Bureau (PSB) members took away Ms. Gu. Ms. Gu’s relatives say Ms. Gu was sentenced to one year of re-education through labor for "using evil cult organizations to obstruct the exercising of state laws.""
