RUDY DRAGGED DOWN
The New York Post ^ | 3/3/2007 | IAN BISHOP

March 3, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - Rudy Giuliani's liberal stance on abortion, guns and gays wasn't his biggest problem yesterday as he addressed a conference of conservative activists - it was his having dressed in drag.

A whisper campaign targeting the front-running GOP White House contender's cross-dressing stunts at gala political dinners in New York and on "Saturday Night Live" was the hot topic among right-leaning activists.

"Here is yet another example of the MSM trying to torpedo Rudy."

Don't bet on that. What the MSM wants is turmoil and indecision in the Republican party. As a bonus, they get to poke the social conservatives. {Who they hate/fear? far more than blue blood Republicans}

But I agree with the rest of your post. Sometimes we are called upon to do stupid things for charity.

We have a cross-dressing supporter of homosexual activism running for the GOP nomination that never missed a chance to march in a gay "rights" march....

and marched right along with the NAMBLA banner that was also proudly on display.

He is not a cross-dresser

No, he isn't. He's a gun-grabber; which is why I'll never vote for him.

I've asked that question before and get nothing but crickets.

The only things they cite are a few incidents that are meaningless (kicking arafat out of concert or returning a check) or just tough talk (saying he'd kill OBL with his bare hands).

When asked for exactly what it is that qualifies him to be a great 'wartime president', they disappear faster than a bucket of chicken in Rosie O' Donnell's dressing room.

Men who dress in women's clothing likely have overt homosexual tendencies which they embrace.

Can you cite evidence for that claim? In particular, show that people who dress up as women for fundraisers, Halloween costumes, etc. have overt homosexual tendencies which they embrace.

I've noticed that some Freepers seem to be obsessed with these pictures.

As I've said before, this was done for a fund raiser, as a joke. Rudy is one of the least likely persons to be a cross dresser or a metrosexual that I can think of. He has a strong enough sense of his own manliness that he can do something like that without worrying about it.

When it went from a joke to looking better than my mom and my mom's a pretty good looking lady.

Rudy can do whatever he wants... but I don't have to support him.

He has keen political sense that self-deprecating humor is a great thing in a politician,

A mildly self deprecating sense of humor is very welcome in a modern era politician, in light of self important windbags like McCain, Schumer, Kerry, and others.

"People who would use this as an issue to denigrate Rudy likely have latent homosexual tendencies of which they are afraid."

Would that extend to cover this website's intense coverage of so many news articles about matters gay?

I wonder if a President Giuliani would even "talk tough" to the President of Mexico concerning our southern border. I strongly suspect that he wouldn't. So much for securing our borders, I guess.

When it went from a joke to looking better than my mom and my mom's a pretty good looking lady.

So you admit that you are a social policeman? How did you get that job telling others what it morally permissible in crossdressing or not? Myself, I try to mind my own business (in almost all affairs).

Good post, Al.

That the media and the libs have guns blazing at Rudy this early shows they're scared spitless of the guy -- not so much that he might win the Presidency, but that his win might be the kind of victory that sweeps other Republicans into office on every level.

Their tactics are so laughably obvious, too. Every article seems to be slanted toward Rudy not being conservative enough for some.

Since when was the media ever worried about how conservative somebody was?

They float these stories simply to divide the right, and I'm surprised at how many people fall for the gag.

Okay, besides his tough talk, Rudy did two things well during and after 911. He 1. Went on TV and told the people in Manhatten to move north, and 2. Went to the funerals of a lot of police and firemen.

If he did anything else of merit, anyone is free to mention the specifics.

"More important that he'll quash Al Queda in a minute."

His work in NYC before 911. His taking control. Remember how bad the mafia was in NYC before Rudy?

Before Rudy NYC had more than 2500 murders a year and he brought that down to under 600 a year and did the impossible and made NYC one of the top 10 safest countries in the nation.

"Can you think of any president - even Clinton - or another candidate wearing a dress on several occasions? It's unpresidential. It's not a secret, but a lot of people don't know about it, and it's only going to get more attention," said Florida GOPer Gregg Shore."

Give it a few months when all his views are widely known.

>>>>Rudy in full drag would be a tougher POTUS than all the other candidates of both parties combined (except for Tancredo) :)

You posted this with a straight face?

You want to even suggest a draft deferring, drag wearing, NAMBLA supporter is 'tougher' than a Ranger in 'Nam?

::lisp on::

Why yeeees! Watch out for my purse!

Imagine these photos on large placards on "the Arab street" for the next eight years.

I am...hehehehehe... And how impotent they will feel when he crushes them like he did the mafia
