Obama v Clinton: showdown in the pulpits (Hillary stumps with a southern twang)

****..........Mr Obama...was later the guest of honour at the Brown Chapel AME Church where Martin Luther King gathered the marchers on that fateful day.
"I am the fruits of your labour," he told those gathered to mark the 42nd anniversary. "I am the offspring of the movement. So when people ask me if I've been to Selma before, I tell them - I'm coming home."
His visit had been arranged weeks earlier. But he was suddenly joined in the town not only by Mrs Clinton, who altered her campaign schedule at the last minute, but also her husband Bill Clinton. The former president, a figure beloved by many blacks in the South, visited Selma in 2000 for the 35th anniversary.
Mrs Clinton spoke at First Baptist Church, less than a block from Brown Chapel, and the two were later due to march together across the bridge. Although it was an event designed to foster unity, the juxtaposition of the duelling campaigns made for an uneasy atmosphere.
"I just want to begin by giving praise to the Lord Almighty," said Mrs Clinton, 59, with a Southern twang not normally detectable in her speeches, as she announced she had come as "a sister in worship and a grateful friend and beneficiary of what happened in Selma 42 years ago".
She recalled attending a speech by Mr King in Chicago in 1963 and said there was still work to be done to achieve equality. "We have to finish the march. That is the call to our generation."
There were cries of "Tell them, president," from one man as her address became a politician's stump speech in which she talked about US energy policy, climate change, health insurance and "our young men and women in harm's way" in Iraq.
She quoted her husband during his 2000 visit as saying the civil rights movement had allowed "two sons of the south - Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton" to become president. It had also given, she said, "Barack Obama the chance to run for president ... And yes, it is giving me the chance.".........***

Further hypocrisy of the left. What happened to their calls for separation of church and state? Apparently dems are allowed to make political speeches from churches. So is the tax status of these churches going to be examined or does that only happen to churches that call for abortion to be a core value?

I wonder how much his shorts go for.
Former President Bill Clinton takes of his tie so it could be auctioned to benefit the Kansas Democratic party after he spoke at the party's convention in Topeka, Kan. Friday, March 2, 2007. The tie was sold to Phillip G. Ruffin for $26,000. (AP Photo/Charlie Riedel)

She sounds more ridiculous than usual. That's really bizarre.

Nice wearing a Chairman Mao jacket in a Christian church.
For some reason, that jacket reminded me of Saddam sporting those religious robes while pandering to the Islamic fundies.

Go find that audio. What a joke. People all over the country are laughing at
Hillary! today.
Hillary! has no charm, no charisma, no ability to influence people. The only thing she has going for her is a sense of inevitability and the assumption, by many, that she is a person to be taken seriously. Once people start laughing at her, it's over.

She has to be "the" worst panderer of all time. With crap like this I really doubt she can be their parties candidate, eventually Dem's will start to feel a bit used.

I can hardly wait till she visits Chinatown.I can't wait to hear about her found Jewish heritage. Or has she already pulled that one? Maybe the the controversial pardons of the four New York Hasidic Jews by her husband is still winning her favor.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
She'll have to be circumcised.
