Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. My mom is a lesbian and a conservative. Gays and lesbians are not the devil. I dont believe in the liberal "agenda" for gay marriage. I am a christian, so it is a struggle for me to find middle ground. I am not the only one. Laura Ingrams; brother is gay. Tammy Bruce is gay and supports President Bush.
Have you ever heard of Wendell Wilkie, the guy who opposed FDR in 1940. There were many side bar issues that Wilkie disagreed with FDR on. but Wilkie himself put national security ahead of his political ambitions. While he didnt agree with FDR on many things, he ran as a friendly rival and knew it was a national security election. Many may say Wilkie was weak for doing so. But it is that spirit of putting national security first that this country needs right now. I am behind Rudy because I believe he will be a legendary war time President.
