My point exactly! If I lived in VA and they printed my info I'd sue them for violating their own privacy policy.
I e-mailed the paper on their website, copying the privacy policy you posted, and stating that I hoped that appropriate disciplinary action would be taken against the writer and the editor's of the op-ed page give the clear violation. I expect them to do nothing.
I also told them that when I next visit the Roanoke area, I will be very careful not to frequent any of their major advertisers, and that that column was the most irresponsible editorial I have ever seen.
Frightening what these weasly kid reporters are capable of....
It probably wouldn't help their case much that one of those CCH permit holders whose name and address the paper published was that of one of the justices of Virginia State Supreme Court....
