Ohio Florida and Michigan and the southwest are up for grabs this time along with Arkansas.
I can see F Thompson being competitive in those places.
The thing is, 30 million in campaign cash (at least) needs to be raised before Jan of next year, I can see 4 R's who could do that, Fred Thompson is one of them.

Unfortunately cash is a big issue. I agree that Fred could compete.
