If the NCAA had their collective heads on straight, then they would ban Vitale and others from recruiting for specific schools during broadcasts. The most egregious example I've heard so far is Vitale's recruiting Paul Patterson (Huntington, WV) for Duke. Both Florida and Kentucky are heavily recruiting this kid but Vitale has his head so far up Duke's nether region that he was whining, even begging during a broadcast for Patterson to "come to Duke, baby - You'll get plenty of playing time". This, to me, gives one school a recruiting advantage over others. At the same time, the NCAA limits the number of times a school may have contact with a recruit.

I prefer Winghouse over Hooters, but I can safely say that the NCAA is simply a bunch of fools over this.
