They're marching to "stop global warming" which has been identified as caused by the CO2 emmissions of Western democracies. In essence by controlling the economic development of Western democracies and taxing their economies they will "stop global warming". Sound familiar yet?

Last century it was the bougeosie oppressing the proletariate which justified the political and often violent reorganization of society and compulsory re-distribution of wealth. Now it's climate change caused by the wealthy democracies which stand accused and need to be controlled and forced to compensate their 'victims'.

Make no mistake, these people are Marxists.

It's the same as sleeping in a cardboard box for one night as a gesture of helping the homeless.

Our church, Episcopal - in Connecticut, wanted to do that on the church lawn until I mentioned at Vestry that it was a cowardly act which would accomplish nothing except easing their consciences.

And if the volunteers of this token gesture of sympathy really wanted to do something meaningful, they would invite homeless people to come live in their houses, rent free with free food, for a week or two or even until the homeless people could find work and afford their own place to live.

Neither the sleep-in nor the invitation to the homeless to share living quarters ever got off the ground.
