Nothing on global warming BS.
Dang. I wanted Rush to hit Arnold up with some of his good stuff on that.

During Arnies ramblings all I could think about was how he has this need to "take care of the people", "we need to do this for the people of California". No stfu Arnie your job is to manage corrupt state spending and cut it whenever possible. Not to propose new spending initiatives.

If it were a debate, Ahnuld won handily. Ahnuld talked over everything Rush would try to say. It was disingenuous at best on the Governors part. He really didn't answer a thing.
To: liege
First, you are correct Rush let him win the debate. But Arnold did answer things. You (and maybe I) didn't like the answers. Arnold's answer was hey, I do the best I can in a democrat state and I think the stuff I am doing will work. It was an impressive performance by Arnold, because he did explain his reasoning on each issue.
I don't agree with many of the approaches, but in the end I have to agree with Arnold's statement that the problems need to be solved, not spend years and years posturing.

I do not care for "Ahnold", I don't even like most of his Movies, and he looks deformed to my point of view, but he was making very good points. Rush sounded too much like Pat Buchanan, and except for the Global warming BS, I thought that "Ahnold" did a good job in the interview with his pragmatic approach to fix the horrible mess that The rats have left California in with illegals, and too many giveaways. I am glad Ahnold is ineligible to be President, but he mostly sounded like he rolled the DemRATS 75 percent and the Pubbies 25 percent, and will get things accomplished instead of watching the State be swallowed by debt and illegals and drift off into the Pacific Glub Glub...

Arnold is an asshat and Rush is right to come down on him. Arnold is a democrat wearing an R after his name, same as the other rinos that are in office in the state and fed government. The sooner Arnold is out of office the better I will like it, except we will probably get another rino to replace him. BTW, Rush would make a superior governor, he would wipe the floor with Ahhhhnold.

At least, Arnold had the courage to run for Governor, and Rush just keeps safe and sound in his radio studio.
To: Williams
I see you heard what I heard and I agree he handled himself well, even with Rush attacking him as selling out Conservative Principles, he was thinking on his feet, off the cuff and explained his ideas and the reasons he thinks they will work. I have to say he seems to want to do what he said he would do, and he is certainly not sitting on his hands and letting things deteriorate. If we say never compromise at all, even at 25 percent, nothing ever will get done, and how does that help anyone? Making all people pay for Insurance instead of having you and I bear all the burden and keeping the ER just for Emergencies sounds like a winner. We have to remember this is California also, which is Majority Rat.

I don't agree with many of the approaches, but in the end I have to agree with Arnold's statement that the problems need to be solved, not spend years and years posturing I agree that things need to get done. The issue of Ahnulds stand on global warming and greenhouse gasses was barely, if at all, brought up. His stand on this is, to me anyway, the straw that has broken the proverbial camels back. He has become, to me anyway, the quintessential pragmatic politician. I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Arnold had the courage to run for Governor, If it took courage to run for public office, then Kerry, the Clintons, etc. ,wouldnt be in public office in the first place.
Patton never ran for office.
and Rush just keeps safe and sound in his radio studio
So once did a liberal radio host named Alan Berg.

Yes, but I agree with post 28 above. I tend to agree with you global warming is a nonsense issue, but Arnold is in a state that is totally 100% bonkers on environmental issues. Everything I buy has special labeling that California makes them put on. that state thinks it is leading the nation on the pollution issue, and I guess because it is so damn big it is leading the nation.
It is best to have a republican governor there, but how to turn that state conservative? Beats me and I guess beats Arnold.

"At least, Arnold had the courage to run for Governor"Wrong!
It takes no "courage" today to run for political office, as all you need is name recognition and the support of the MSM.
Rush reaches MORE audience than Ahnold, and the audience he relates to have principles, traditional values, and an aversion to pandering for votes.
Rush will stay in a position that is individual in nature, and not be beholdin' to those who fund elected office holders.
To: Williams
The thing is, Rush's audience is not the sheep that watch the MSM. It doesn't really matter "who won" - the discerning conservatives that listen to Rush will sort out who's right and who's wrong.

So are you the hate Rush, kiss Arnold's a$$ guy on this thread? There's always one. Don't forget Rush can take on Arnold and YOU, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair.

i'm sorry to say, but Rush's answer about emergency rooms, expressed to that first caller, doesn't make any sense. Rush is saying that hospitals closed because uninsured and uninsured illegals use the ER's and ran up huge bills that they don't pay.
that was exactly Arnold's point, that the cost of uninsured using ER's is unbearable and they are using the Er the way you would use a $50 doctor visit. Arnold also explained FEDERAL law FORCES the ER's to treat them.
So Arnold's point was huge money will be saved by getting them insured and having them use a $50 office visit instead of a $1,000 ER visit. Use of the Er by uninsured is breaking the system. So I understood what Arnold is saying.
Arnold did a good job of blaming the feds. They don't fix illegal immigration, then they force the state to provide services.

......Arnie hopes to bask in rush's reflective glory.
.....
The man is a Hollywood actor that has advisors who know how to milk any publicity opportunity for maximum effect.
The Aahnald/Rush show was a tremendous win win for both. What was said or intended will never be agreed on by all but doesn't matter. All that matters is that it happened.
