What Rush had to say about emergency rooms and what Arnold had to say about emergency rooms are not at all inconsistent points -- both are true.

Many years ago Dems in CA passed laws which forced all hospitals throughout the state to turn NO ONE AWAY from Emergency rooms. Then came the onslaught of the pro-illegal movements, ipso, 11 hospitals in Southern California bankrupted through "turning no one away" laws devised by CA Dems.

I was impressed with Arnie as well. I may not agree with him on everything but I respect him for shwoing up on Rush right away and answering questions. How many dem politicians would do that?

His explanation of how health care in collyfornia was going to be fixed, made as much sense as that guy Rush had on last year telling us that amnesty wasn't amnesty.

I mean, yeah, we understand that it isn't called "amnesty" but calling a tax a "fee" still picks your pocket.

Deerfield, I suspect the point you are making is far too subtle for some of the posters.

I heard Auhnold the liberal, Rush wasn't going to take him on, just let him talk. We knew he was a RINO/Liberal, now that he has proved it, so what? It's likely better than what CA would have got if they had elected the liberal in the first place. Couldn't be any worse.

"Rush reaches MORE audience than Ahnold, and the audience he relates to have principles, traditional values, and an aversion to pandering for votes."

I think Bill O'Reilly just said the Rush is to the left of Ahnold. Does that say it all or did I misunderapprehend his comment?

"That was truly low."

And 101% true.

"At least, Arnold had the courage to run for Governor, and Rush just keeps safe and sound in his radio studio."

Have you run for public office? Why should Rush leave a very lucrative position he enjoys to take a 99% cut in pay to do something he would hate.

Your excuse?

He was the typical politician. Talk loud and talk in the circles you want.

It was funny watching Rush on the ditto cam, he kept trying to respond and kept laughing at Arnold.

I know what the political climate is in California now, and the California that existed during the Reagan years is gone with the wind . .

Schwarzenegger is to be congratulated for winning as moderate conservative in a very blue state.

He governed as a down the line conservative when first elected and he got trounced in a special election and opinion polls. Arnold did what he had to do in order to get re-elected.

If you want a California conservative purist, you can look no further no Tom McClintock who ran for Lieutenant Governor . .and lost despite the Schwarzenegger landslide.

I don't like Arnold's position on global warning, but I do admire him as a politician and as a leader.

Rush is dead wrong on trying to pretend the California of 2007 is the same as it used to be 25 years ago.

Arnold's position on global warming has a tendency and potential to get people jobs and work, in CA; has and will. Plus the R&D grants from the feds and private businesses.

Frankly, I'd like to see what happened in re the paint on walls which absorbed light and reflected light during the evenings. That was one specific "energy" project I saw the potential in; but also saw how eerie it might make a home or business. lol.

Interesting....but I'm not sure if that conclusion is rational.

For your last question I can say that he was a no! no! no! kind of thinker instead of let me think about this before I say no. That is the way Buchanan thinks, no to everything and never think about how anyone else thinks on any given subject. I referred to Pavlov's Dog on the Sunday thread in a rather unique way regarding behavior of the DBM and especially Pukes like Tim Russert when questioning Republicans. I cracked myself up typing it so much that I had to quit laughing or quit typing. The Governator is running roughshod over the Rats and cleaning up the State and the rats do not even know it yet. I have heard him talk a few times about the illegal problem, and he knows without that problem getting solved, no matter what he does it will not be enough, and he wants to be an effective leader and look good so he can be President one day even though he was foreign born. The cost of living is so high there, that for him to get only a little over a dollar increase in Minimum wage is a miracle. I see these fixer upper Houses in California even in the lousy areas that they get $800,000 for with less square footage and property than I have, and I paid 1/10 what they do. I don't know how anyone can afford to live there. As far as NOLA, the whiners were out in full force blaming everyone but themselves and their corrupt Rat :leadership, especially Jeffferson. I wish they would just make it a port for shipping grain from The Midwest and leave it at that. It will be only a matter of time before it is under water again because it is below sea level 24-7.

There are no flies on you wr to this matter, samantha. :)

I concur with you about how it's actually going down in CA. I'm from CA, 39 years long. SF Bay Area- where the heart of liberalism in CA exists. SoCal sees horrid illegal immigration problems, but SoCal has large areas of conservatism (SF Bay area does not).

I'm smiling to myself; just read your post again. You get it.

Speaking of San Francisco I cannot wait to see Nanzee Pelosi implode, and ole Steny will be right there to take over. She is originally from Baltimore transplanted to SF, I don't know who is the lucky one, probably Baltimore because she is gone. Can you imagine how excited People will be about The Governator if he should clean up the grotesque Mess that is California?
