This is the MSM's skewed take on the interview. I heard it, and Rush was calling out Ahnold on his liberal positions throughout the interview and after he hung up. He also quipped that it was highly unlikely that Maria had influenced Arnold's views, saying he doubted Maria could "get a word in edgewise," since Arnold talked so much.

Right on! I missed the interview but heard the above.

Broke out laughing when I heard him say this; laughed again reading your retelling of the quip.

Yeah, I thought Rush brought up a number of items and stepped appropriately close to, and didn't go over the line that respect for the office produces. I thought he did a good job, but I wish the cigar---ha ha ha bit hadn't happened. AND...I REALLY didn't think Rush needed to stoop to the low level of insult with his "couldn't get a word in edgewise" comment. That was truly low.

I thought as much as I wish Arnold would ...no, could... have said something different; I'm reminded that he had several Propositions on the line, and CA Republicans (not San Diego or Orange County mind you) slapped him in the face. At that point, he had no other choice than to compromise...he had no leg to stand on. He's doing the best he can with what he's been dealt. This state is filled with Dems, and one man cannot do it all.

We want our state back...then start electing some Republicans to back Arnold up. Until then, this is the best we can do...the price of livin' in Paradise (well, San Diego is, anyway ;-)
