Both of the hearings yesterday where Al Gore spoke are up now at www.c-span.org. The hearing below was pretty good also.

House Hearing on Global Climate Change Rep. Rick Boucher (D-VA) chairs a House Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality hearing on "Climate Change: Perspectives of Utility CEOs." 3/20/2007: WASHINGTON, DC: 3 hr. 26 min.

Every person emits 0.2 tons of CO2 a year, so an absolute true freeze would be no new industry, no new people...Democrats are practicing "no new people"...It`s called abortion.

Somebody - please! - explain to me why AlGore isn't giving dire globull warming speeches in China?
China will become the world's third-biggest economy by 2008, overtaking Germany and trailing only Japan and the United States. That growth has been fueled by coal-burning power stations and wheezing factories. In fact, a Google search shows that back in 2000 China was already the world's second biggest emitter of greenhouse gases!
Where is AlGore? Why is he not in China?
The fact is that AlGore is just another tool in the blame America First crowd and that this whole globull warming thing is a political sham designed by liberals to gain control.

Barton hit a homerun, followed by Klaus hanging the banner "COMMUNIST" around Gore's neck.
This should reduce the number of useful idiots in Gore's parade.

Rep. Barton was good.
I was extremely disappointed by the rest of the Pubbies in the House. And the Dems in the House were absolutely fawning over Gore.
I am discouraged that Gore was allowed to break hearing rules by late submission of his talk, allowed to avoid hearing the GOP members opening remarks, was allowed to provid verbal testimony that was different from his written testimony, and was allowed to openly insult the GOP members by calling them "the dark side".
He never answered Rep. Burton's questions about CAFE standards. Instead he used Rep. Burton's time to continue his preaching.
The entire hearing was simply a forum for Gore to preach.

This is very disappointing.
"A carbon tax on the American people, or instituting a cap on carbon without the participation of nations like China and India, is an attempt to reverse global warming similar to a doctor telling an overweight, sedentary chain-smoker to wear a seat belt.
He just got done sinking the whole premise that CO2 causes warming and then he turns right around and basically excepts the premise that we need to cut back on it and he only argues that Kyoto would not have done ENOUGH. What kind of stupid way to win an argument is that? By buying into their argument and arguing we need to do more???
