My what an unusual way for pets to die. Rat poison in their food. Who would have thought?

I wonder if it was intentional.

Probably a trial run for the Religion of Peace to see if they can get it in human food.

My thought is that in the warehouses, processing plants, etc.. of these places, rats must be plentiful. Use rat poison to kill rats, rats around dog food...... Not too far fetched to think that the food may become contaminated.

I know I am stretching, but could this be terrorist related? Maybe they wanted to show how easy it would be to hurt the human food supply? No better way to create panic.

I just heard that!!! OMG!!!

Does this mean tampering or dead rats used in the food making process?

Is this in relation to the huge recall that happened last couple of weeks? I had to get rid of some. Alpo and Pedigree were NOT affected, then. What brands are now?..........

My 13 year old Dachshund died a couple of weeks ago and I just chalked it up to old age, but he had been eating can dog food. Makes me wonder!

Our local radio said the poison (banned in the U.S.) was used on wheat shipped from China. The wheat I'm guessing was used as a thickening agent in the gravy.

I bought 6 pouches of the recalled Kitty Special cat food, fed 2 to my cats then heard about the recall. Thank God neither pouch had been tainted and my kitties are just fine. I will be returning the remaining packages of cat food for a refund.
