I fear people are mixing up the Fred Thompson Law and Order person from the real thing. We really don't know enough about this man to jump on the bandwagon.
I do. He has a long and distinguished record as a conservative. The other "bandwagons" I've seen are mostly hauling a pile of liberal BS.
I've never even watched L & O and I love the guy.
You can read all about Thompson's stands on the issues HERE.
I agree with you. If you look at his record while he was in the Senate it's a real mixed bag. I'm not thrilled about his total view on immigration. He also voted for McCain-Feingold. I'm not sure what his qualifications are to be CIC. All in all, he is, of course, way above Rudy, but I'm not getting all excited about him.

Better than the Knox Pooley role. Good role, BTW.
This statement is unthinkably dense.
Thompson has a Senate voting record, for crying out loud. He's been a public figure since the 1970s. His track record as a legislator is overwhelmingly conservative.
Earth to Merry...come in Merry...
What, seven or nine years in the Senate doesn't provide a record?
Well, we know lots about Rudy and it will not pass the smell test. I could never vote for him.
Fred was our senator for over eight years in Tenn. Google Fred Dalton Thompson, if you want his record.
I go for the one in Red October.
