Your tag line indicates that you are in favor of fair tax.

So am I. While Rudy didn't come out in favor of Fair Tax, he did come out in favor of flat tax, lower taxes, generally conservative approach to the economy. That's why Steve Forbes endorsed him. I would recommend you read Kudlow's interview with RG.

As Forbes Endorses Giuliani, Giuliani Endorses a Flat Tax

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1808537/posts

"These days, Mr. Giuliani calls himself an advocate of supply-side economics and tells audiences that he cut taxes and restrained spending as mayor. He said several times yesterday that the federal tax code should be vastly simpler.

“The thing I like about Rudy Giuliani is that in New York City he demonstrated he was willing to try big things,” Mr. Forbes said. In a Giuliani presidency, he predicted, “we’ll have an assault” on the federal tax code."

So were Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin.

We don't want 'big things' out of government. Maybe you missed that part on the FR Homepage.

The Fair Tax and The Flat tax are very different. The Fair Tax will eliminate federal income taxes and will concurrently seek the abolishment of The IRS. The Flat tax will maintain the current oppressive income tax code along with the IRS.

You maybe interested to know our current tax code started as a Flat Tax much like Forbes proposal. The first tax ranged from merely 1% on the first $20,000 of taxable income and was only 7% on incomes above $500,000. In 1939, 26 years after the Sixteenth Amendment was adopted, only 5% of the population, counting both taxpayers and their dependents, was required to file returns. Today, more than 80% of the population is under the income tax. Anyone who endorses the Flat tax is for maintaining the socialist status quo.
